I know I’ve been awfully quiet lately. There I was rolling along happily posting when, “Bam! Wham! Double Blam!” I was hit with a jab, cross, hook and upper-cut. O.k. so I wasn’t literally beaten but I was sucker punched  multiple times.  My squirrel focus became blurry and I ran around like Rocky yelling, “ADRIAN!” (..not really that part). With my focus diverted from God and fixed on me and my problems, writing a post has been like moving through quicksand — hopeless. But today, yes today, I have (finally) tapped into my inner warrior. Warrior because I have no doubt this is spiritual warfare and I will not give up the fight! Who wins if I stop foraging the faith — he who shall not be named? Not Voldemort silly but… the other guy… and that’s just not going to happen. No, Senior Diablo, guess what? You’ve made me a fighter! In the words of Christina:

“After all of the stealing and cheating you probably think that
I hold resentment for you
But uh uh, oh no, you’re wrong
‘Cause if it wasn’t for all that you tried to do, I wouldn’t know
Just how capable I am to pull through
So I want to say thank you

‘Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter! “

Maybe you have been feeling like me lately. Let me know, and I will pray for you!  I found my inner warrior by praying for God’s help. Also, I decided to do what I was avoiding. For instance, I have been avoiding my Bikram yoga class as well as my blog posts because it is hot- too hot- Tarzan couldn’t take this kind of hot. Finally, I forced myself to go today and, in my warrior mode, did the entire class without leaving – HOOaaa!- (see my Jesus Christ — Superstar post and you will understand how difficult this is for me). Then I came home and wrote this post — HOOaa! I truly believe that the body and soul are linked. I don’t think we can be a full warrior without challenging both to do so.

English: Bikram Yoga

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Ephesians 6:10-13 NASB
